Japan culture center - Isonade is a monster fish in Japanese legend. The story handed down in Matsuura, Hizen Province and the sea in western Japan. According to one explanation, the origin of the name isonade, is the surface of the sea like a rubbed (Japanese: naderu) when these creatures emerge from beneath the water.
